Maple Bourbon Cider Punch

I have been in the mood for a fall cocktail for a while. Something refreshing, not too sweet and packed with fall flavors. This weekend I celebrated a friend’s birthday at a beautiful winery surrounded by trees with changing leaves. It was like an autumn day out of a movie. Since then, I’ve been wanting to find a drink that matches these fall feelings and I’ve finally found it.

This cocktail seriously hits the spot. It’s so simple to make and could be easily scaled up for a crowd, just multiply each ingredient by how many people you’re serving! Also- sip this drink slowly, it is strong! You’re mixing alcohol with alcohol here, so make this drink last a long time! It’d be perfect to sip while appreciating some fall leaves or baking an apple pie!



Makes one (very strong) cocktail


1 shot maple bourbon- I used Jim Beam Maple

1 bottle dry-ish hard cider- I used Stella Artois Cidre

3-4 drops Angostura Bitters

juice from a wedge of orange

3-4 ice cubes

1/4 apple, cut into thin slices

1/4 orange, cut into thin rounds



  1. Add bourbon, cider, bitters, orange juice and ice in a glass and stir gently.
  2. Garnish with orange and apple slices and enjoy!
